Valverda Plantation

Built in February 1842. A Southern plantation with a historic mansion located in Maringouin, Louisiana. It was designed in the Greek revival architectural style and completed in 1850. Valverda was home to Henry S. Johnson, the fifth Governor of Louisiana from 1855 until his death in 1864.
