Chasing Champions

CHASING CHAMPIONS: From Barn to Banner Showmanship Clinic

Livestock season is here, and I’m excited to finally bring an idea to life that I’ve been thinking about for years!

On November 14, 2026, we’re hosting the Chasing Champions: From Barn to Banner Showmanship Clinic at the Pointe Coupee Multi-Use Center. Exhibitors will spend the day learning from Micah Lovelady, respected livestock judge and industry professional, through hands-on instruction designed to help them improve their showmanship skills and gain confidence in the ring.

Whether you’re just getting started or you’re looking to sharpen your competitive edge, we’ll have two learning tracks:

Foundations Track (3 years or less experience)
 Champion Track (experienced exhibitors)

We’ll also offer a parent session covering skin care, hair care, feed management, and other tips to help exhibitors succeed at home.

A couple of important notes:
• Space is limited to ensure plenty of individual instruction and ring time.

 Date: November 14, 2026
 Location: Pointe Coupee Multi-Use Center

 Foundations Track: $75
 Champion Track: $100

As a livestock parent, I’m excited about the opportunity for young exhibitors to learn, grow, and build skills that will help them both in and out of the show ring. I hope you’ll join us for a great day of learning, improvement, and fellowship!
