After extensive research and several community fact-finding meetings, the Pointe Coupee Office of Tourism has rebranded its tourism promotions as Visit False River.
“Research showed that many people did not recognize the parish or even local cities, but that the False River region was much more widely recognized,” noted Carlyn Morales, tourism director.
Local tourism businesses are encouraged to use the new branding and link from their websites and social channels to the new website recently launched with a renewed emphasis on increasing visitation to the area.

Our unique landscape, sculpted by the Mississippi River has created an area rich in agriculture and rooted in relaxation. Rows of sugar cane greet you as you enter the parish, and you’ll find the drive oh so sweet. The calm oxbow lakes offer a smooth experience on the water.
The False River area is a treat for the senses where you can tempt your tastebuds with creole delights, take in the stunning natural beauty, listen and dance to Louisiana roots music, breathe in the fresh air, and trace the lines on centuries-old oaks that have inspired and delighted generations.
