We have made the planning easy! Take a Trail to Visit False River, exploring some of our most popular topics with easy itineraries, along with maps and other helpful information.
Movie Trail
Eat at Hot Tails, take in the Courthouse as well as the Old Cottonseed Mill, walk along False River and then drive by or tour historic sites. You will likely be standing in the spot as your favorite characters from movies such as Easy Rider or Bonnie & Clyde. Check out locations below, then make sure you visit the Louisiana Film Trail for more.
If you are interested in filming in Pointe Coupee Parish, we make it easy! See Film-Pointe for more info.

Hike or Bike Trail
Hiking or Biking along False River is a beautiful way to see the sites up-close and enjoy the scenery! The Hike or Bike Trail was actually an Eagle Service Project developed in 1987 by Kevin N. Cicero, Troop 66. Over time, the signs had fallen into disrepair, and it took several representatives of various community groups to complete a restoration in 2012. As you enjoy this tour, keep all these hands in mind!

Antiques Trail
Being one of the oldest communities in the state, it stands to reason, we might have a few antiques to show off! Tours of homes, such as White Hall or the Pointe Coupee Parish Museum will give you a glimpse into our past, but if antiques becomes a verb in your vernacular, you will enjoy antiquing in Pointe Coupee Parish!
Our Antiques Trail features two main points of interest, the False River Antique Mall and the New Roads Antique Mall. Check out other spots, and bring along your Antiques Road Show tips and find your own treasures!
